Let the running begin. . . .

I am officially allowed to start running again!! YEAH!! Only 10 minutes every other day, but it is a start. It gradually increases over a six week period, at the end of which I'll be able to do 35 minutes every other day. Dr. didn't give me the plan on what to do after 6 weeks (he's gotta keep me coming back).

On a more annoying note, my doctor also told me today that "I am his weight loss challenge" I fully admit that I have been off track for a long time and have gained a lot of weight back. But, he didn't know me when I was on track and running, I am not "his challenge." Plus he didn't listen to me when I told him that I follow WW - he wants me to do South Beach. No, tried it, didn't like it, I like WW, it works, that is what I am going to stick with. Dumb doctor.

    What kind of quack doctor do you go to? Now I admit I know very little about the South Beach diet, but I wasn't aware that doctors actually advocated it because I never got the impression it was particularly good for you or sustainable in the long run - kind of like the Atkins diet. In any case, congrats on being able to run again! The doctor will have to stick his foot in his mouth when he sees you back in action ;-).

    Honestly, I have had the worst run-ins with doctors lately. The cardiologist I went to made me cry. Blech. You'll show him what you can do with a REASONABLE food plan and exercise! You go girl!! :)
