Good Times

So I am taking this new workout class. It is two days a week - Thursday and Sunday. Thursday is designed as a strength training thing - we do a lot of circuits, running, squats, lunges, jump roap, etc - it is designed to build strengh for spinning (cycling) class which is Sunday. So I have now been to one of each. They kick my butt, but I can hold my own pretty good, which makes me happy. I really like the instructor (who I already knew) so that makes it even better. It is an 8 week program and he made me set a weight loss goal. My goal is 15 lbs in 8 weeks - he thinks it is a bit ambitious. I agree, but it definitely has me motivated to stay on track to try to make my goal. I actually stayed OP all weekend, which hasn't happened in a long time!

Also, I ran my first 10K ever on Saturday. It wasn't an official race, but I decided to do it around my neighborhood. It was harder than I expected in some ways and easier than I expected in some ways. It wasn't that I was exhausted from it, but it was really hard to maintain my pace as I was running. I need to keep working on running further distances so I can be ready to start training for the half marathon in May!
