So I did the 5K yesterday. Now, the group was not exactly full or runners or even people walking at a fast pace, but I was one of the first to finish it (probably 1 of the first 10 or so people). However, it was harder than I thought it would be. In the gym, I have the speed controls and the clock to help me pace myself on the treadmill. I didn't realize how much more difficult it would be to push myself in the real world as opposed to the treadmill. I meet with the trainer tomorrow, maybe she will have some tips for me there.
Also started an adult swim class yesterday - it was very humbling, but good. It is very basic, but it is good because it will give me a chance to really get good at the basics before I start pushing myself for endurance.
No new recipes this weekend - too busy. I'll try to have some next week.
