76 pounds and still going...
Down 1.8 this week. Not too bad given the family reunion and baby shower over the weekend. Brings my total to 76 lbs exactly. I can feel my hip bones - I don't remember EVER being able to do that before. I also ran my first 5K in a few weeks on Friday and was happy that despite a couple challenges I was only 2 seconds above my personal best time. I thought I would be way over my time given the toe.
So the Triathlon is officially in 11 days, but crazy me, I decided to do a practice race this weekend. So I am signed up for the Great Buckeye Challenge Sprint Tri on Sunday - I definitely will not go all out or do anything crazy, but I think it will be good to see what it is like before my official race the following Sunday. So now I need to find the combination of working out and tapering to be ready for the race. I think this week I am going to continue to go strong and then next week I will take it slower and just focus on keeping active and in shape. Tonight is kickboxing and then either a run or a swim, whichever I feel like doing more (a run might win our since I hit the pool yesterday). Over all, I am feeling pretty good about the race (nervous, but good).
By the way, if anyone wants to sign up for updates as to my progress during the race go to this website http://triathlons.accenture.com -- BUT the race starts at 6:15 AM (5:15 AM Ohio time) - so hopefully I will be finished by the time most people wake up!

Congrats on the great loss! You are doing so well!!! You are going to kick that triathlon's butt! But I think you meant 7:15 Ohio time....I still will hopefully not be awake when you finish, but I want to hear all about it when I do wake up!

Yeah, this whole time zone thing is confusing - in any case, hopefully I can finish in about 2.5 hours (8:45ish Chicago time, 9:45ish Ohio time).
