6 Miles
So, it is Saturday and I actually did my long run for the week - amazing! I ran 6 miles this morning. I can definitely notice my endurance improving, but the last mile just about killed me. Hopefully as I increase mileage 6 miles will start to seem like nothing. It is almost half of the half marathon. I am getting there.
Tonight I am going to Cincinnati for a friend's birthday celebration - Indian food and Ice Skating followed by Birthday cake and ice cream. I am very proud of myself because I have already calculated the points in the dinner I will get (including the piece of birthday cake I will most definitely enjoy). Between my 1000 calories burned this morning and the extra exercise of ice skating I will be totally OP! Yeah.

Nice job! Right now, I can't imagine jogging 6 miles - 4 miles almost did me in this weekend. I guess in 2 weeks I will find out how 6 miles feels. What pace are you jogging at?

Congrats! That is great! Believe me, if you can do 6, you can do 13.1 :) You are ahead of me on your training and my race is a week before yours!! I hope you enjoyed the birthday fun - you deserve it!!!

13.1 is A LOT more than 6. I am nervous about making it 7 miles this weekend. Starfruit - I am at about a 12 minute mile pace (although I usually slow down a bit near the end)
